Ok, we're back...

..a little sad and weary from our house with no Finley barking it up. Jake is doing ok, he's going to start doggie day camp this week, so that he has some interaction with other dogs. He likes me ok, but I know he'd like a dog to play with.

I want to thank everyone who called, sent cards and emails regarding Finley. They all meant so much to me. For now, his paw print and remains and favorite well worn bear are on my nightstand.

I guess they'll stay there until it's time to put them elsewhere.  I'm going to attend a pet loss support group next week, as I'm having a difficult time with the loss.

New Colors, New Silks!

So much has been happening since we last 'chatted'.  The Baltimore market came and went. We released six new cotton colours and four new colours of silk.  They've been a big hit with everyone. TRIM! I see them out in the boxes to go out today. FINALLY!!! I'm telling you what, that was a much bigger undertaking than I thought and also as far as the amount of time it took to get in motion. I thank everyone for being so patient!  Soon my distributor, Hoffman Distributing Co., will have them as well. I should make mention that Hoffman also carries all of our thread lines as well as special collaborations we do together.  They have been  my distributor for eight years and counting! I feel very fortunate to have them for a partner.  It greatly helps our products reach a greater audience.  Just remember, you can order our things from us directly or from Hoffman.  Do you see our little white friend popping up out of the chenille. It's a little glittery white penguin one of my employees keeps on her desk.

I've also been nominated to the Board of Directors of  TNNA, the organization that governs our industry. That will add some extra trips a year, but I'm excited.  I have a lot of ideas for counted thread embroidery.

Wherever you are right now, I hope you're comfortable and cool. Fall will be right around the corner and that means it's HOCKEY season! Meg and I are big hockey fans so we are excited this time of year.  She's a Pittsburgh Penguin fan and I follow the Phoenix Coyotes.  I think Hockey is an exciting game to watch.

Well, enough for now..enjoy your day or evening!

Let needle meet thread!

I live in the 'Burg - - - -needless to say, we are huge Penguins fans. My husband can't wait for the season to start :o)

So sorry to hear of the loss of your dog. Our dog Maggie died 3 1/2 years ago. I still think of her often. Her remains are now in our china closet, we have a new dog named Ranger . . . but she continues to hold a special place in my heart. I know how you feel. I never anticipated how upset I would be with her passing. Praying that you find your way through this grief soon and can dwell on the happy thoughts you have in your memory. Take care!

I am sooo sorry for the loss of your golden....Lost mine a year ago this past April. I no longer hear his paws on the porch as I did for a while or catch a glimpse of 'something'(his spirit?) but he's still missed. BIG HUGS to you.

(((hugs))) I'm so sorry to hear about Finley. Such a beautiful boy.

Tne new colours are fantastic and I'll definitely be picking them up!

Congratulations on your nomination! I keep saying I intend to join, but I definitely will be doing that before the end of this year.

I'm also a hockey fan - though unfortunatley a Toronto Maple Leafs fan... hopefully they play a little better than in the last few years!

Sharon,
Trust me, it takes a long time to recover. It does help to talk to others who have lost a pet. It took me several months until I could think of our dog without crying.
Hugs,
Carolyn

Hi Sharon, love the yummy colors! Congrats on your nomination! I know how tough it is to lose a pet. It does take time because Finley was such a part of your family.
Take care.

Hi Sharon,
I am sooo sorry to hear about your Finley. I lost my Cocker Spaniel, Lizzie, a year ago June 18th. She was my little shadow- followed me EVERYWHERE. I still can not think about her without crying. She was the sweetest soul on the planet and I suspect I will always miss her. I STILL have her little beds and toys out. My time for putting them away hasn't come yet.

On a happier note, your threads are GORGEOUS! I just ordered all of your new ones. Such a treat to stitch with them.
