Markets and Projects and Threads, Oh my!!

Well, I have returned from a wonderful market in Nashville.  My favorite part of my job is seeing and hanging out with good designer friends, my sweet shopowner friends and seeing all that is new and fabulous in the needlework world.  I have NO idea where to start....Let's start with the 'collaboration' project that I do every year with Little House Needleworks, Impie Hattie and Be and Hoffman Distributing Company (who BTW are my distributors and I love them!!Everyone should be so lucky to have great people that work right along side you and help your business grow).  Anyway! Here is a picture of Fresh From the Garden....

Everything from that cutie patootie tomato to the charts used for the needlebook and sampler, this is a limited piece that is NOT to be missed.  Ask for it from your local needlework shop.

Next, Diane from Little House Needleworks and myself are collaborating on a new series, called "Seasons".  Each 90x90 stitch count design combined with one full skein of Belle Soie silk (oooohh ahhhh) comes packed together to stitch a beautiful monochromatic season.  I'm showing you this all together, but can be stitched any way you'd like.  The packs were released to shops that attended Nashville, so if you know your shop went, they already have these in stock.  They will ship to your LNS in the March automatic if they didn't attend.  These will release March, May, July and September.  Spring begins the series with Weathered Vine Belle Soie with the recommended fabric on WDW 30 ct Cocoa. I'm going to have my model stitcher do this on 40 count all together, little tiny seasons!  So pretty!

Now, onto the softest and prettiest overdyed threads out there! Ta Da!

These are the three new Crescent Colours Cotton Flosses:
Blue Corn, Hazelnut and Chopped Chives

Belle "like buttah" Soie silk flosses:
Berry Cobbler, Biscotti and Pecan Pie

And just a reminder, you can be stitching right along with us on Country Cottage Needleworks "Cakes" series.  This is our beautiful slice of Strawberry cake on display at the market.  Everyone loved it and we do too!!

Again, I'm thankful for the LNS and stitchers who support my business.

A little Finley update.  Seems like my old guy is slowing down a bit.  It's heartbreaking, to say the least.  But I've had five extra months with him that I've loaded with wonderful love and memories.  He's one of the best things that has ever happened in my life and for that, I am eternally grateful. I snapped this picture about a week ago....

Everyone enjoy the rest of the week!

Winner, Winner, chicken dinner....

no no no...not a chicken dinner, although that does sound good for dinner.  I drew the name of my giveaway of the Crescent Colours & Country Cottage Needleworks "Strawberry Shortcake" from the thread pack series, "Cake"

I pulled up the handy Random Number Generator and there were 82 entries.  It gave me #9, so I counted starting at the top and this was post number 9:

How about a little slice of...

Cake!  The Strawberry cake is part of our  "Cake" automatic with Country Cottage Needleworks.  This is the result after my wonderful finisher did her magic. I am SO in love with this piece!!!  Let me know what you think too!

Become a follower of this blog and post to this thread with your email. On Monday, I'll select a random post and you'll be the winner of this kit!

Shops can still jump on this automatic and have these sweet little thread packs in their shops!  Just give us a call!

That's all for now...Enjoy your day!  Sharon

Where did January go??

My goodness, what a tardy poster I am!  Quite literally January is just a blur today and now it's February 10th?

The other thing that means is that the Nashville Needlwork Market is only nine days away...ok, had to have a couple deep breaths there. Market time here is crazy, the warehouse looks like it's exploded but it will all be put in boxes and on their way on Monday.

My very best friend in the whole wide world is coming with me to market.  She's always wanted to come along, so we are headed to Nashville on Tuesday.  I've never done anything in Nashville besides go to the hotel, restaurants and the airport.  So we are coming in two days early to be tourists.  We've never had a bad time in 32 years so I expect this will be no different.  Here we are a couple of months ago when I went to visit the ranch in New Mexico...

These are new pretties from Plum Street Samplers from her Hare series.  We framed them for her and I think they are both adorable.

Ok. I know I've said it before but I will say it again, Diane from Little House Needleworks has come out with a design that is my new favorite. The design is called "Rosey" and stitched with lots of Crescent Colours cotton floss.  We also frame it in a Michelle, Fleamarket Icing.  I love her little shoes!

For this market, we will have 3 new cotton flosses and 3 new silk flosses.  A new automatic with Little House Needlework and Crescent Colours called, "Seasons".  It's a four part series, with "Spring" debuting in March. The thread pack will include the pattern and one skein of Belle Soie silk thread.  The designs are monochromatic and have color according to the season.  Spring will be stitched with "Weathered Vine" with a stitch count of 90 x 90.  We have our models stitched on 30 ct Weeks Dye Works Cocoa linen.  Each design measures 6" x 6" .

Well, that's all for now. I'm off to fill orders.  Even though we're focusing on Market, there are still wonderful customers sending orders.  Have a wonderful Thursday!!
