Happy 11th Birthday, Finley!

I've spoken here before about my beloved Golden Retriever, Finley. He's  been battling bone cancer since October.  Through his palliative care (think drug cocktails) he leads a reasonably comfortable life.  He's always happy and still gets up and takes care of himself.

Today is his 11th birthday!!  I've already given him many birthday kisses and we'll have something grilled tonight for dinner. He is such a blessing to my little family.

I love you too, Finley...

Cute new design for Summer!

As promised, here is our newly released kit, Summer Garden. It's a collaboration between Little House Needleworks and Crescent Colours.  The kit contains the pattern, which is about 5" x 7.5" as the design size.  The recommended fabric is 28 or 32 count Lakeside Linens Vintage Tundra. If you desire to use a Weeks Dye Work fabric, I recommended 30 ct Tin Roof.  R&R Reproductions also has a beautiful 30 count called Americana Blend.  All of the threads that you need to stitch the design are in the kit. No full skeins, just exactly what you need in a pretty little bundle.  Contact your LNS as they are getting these in as soon as Tuesday.

I hope you like it. I think it's a darling way to greet summer!  Have a wonderful and safe holiday weekend.

May 24th? What?

How I seem to lose track of time is beyond me.  I haven't come back to see you since my birthday. Let's see what I've been doing since then.

Finley is doing well, getting a little slower but still a happy boy...

My college girl is moving into her own condo next week. Why am I feeling bittersweet again? She's been gone since January, but this seems much more permanent. I'm so proud of her.

I went to the International Quilt Market a couple of weeks ago with Patti Connor of SamSarah Design Studio.  She is something else. I'm not a quilter but I did need to go and check out some sources for our new product line in two weeks.  So many beautiful...Wait, What??? A new product line from Crescent Colours? Do tell. I will, a little bit later in this post. Anyway, I had a great time in Salt Lake City, made a trip up to Ogden for the day to see my sweet friends from Shepherd's Bush. I traveled with Lindy and Mona from The Silver Needle. We took a train up to Ogden. I think that was the highlight of my trip. LOL  We had a great day, did a little shopping on Historic 25th Street.  There's a cute little shop there called The Queen Bee. Well, of course I had to come home with a few crowns. What a darling shop and the owner is named Hailey and a terrific enabler. :)  Of course, i came home with a wee bit of stash from SB, my favorite thing is a sterling silver crown pincushion. I'll take a picture of it and post it again.

Ok, I know you've been waiting for eight lines to here about the new products.  They will release in 2-3 weeks. They are hand dyed, soft, yummy colors that I know you'll all love.  I'll post here again right before they are ready to ship to shops.

Another project that I'm releasing then is a sweet Summer design from my dear friend Diane Williams of Little House Needleworks.  It's a kit, the design size is approximately 7.5 x 5 inches. The threads are included in bundles to make it a little easier on your pocketbooks.  I'll post that picture soon too.

Right now I'm over in New Mexico, visiting my best friend, Ronna. Some of you shopowners met her in Nashville.  We've been having a wonderful time. I've been gardening, taking care of chickens and getting lost in Las Cruces.  I'm a terrible navigator. I thought I was on the street she told me to turn down, but then I ended up on the way to Albuquerque.  I turned again and ended up right in front of a Hobby Lobby. Well that was fine. Spent some fun time in there and then we went to Cracker Barrel for dinner.  I go home tomorrow and spend time with my girl and the puppies.

I hope I haven't bored you with my ramblings. Make sure to check back in a couple weeks. I promise you won't be disappointed.  Thank you for loving Crescent Colours..
