My beloved Golden Retriever, Finley, passed away peacefully this morning. There is no more pain, no more cancer, just running through the forests of heaven, chasing butterflies and chipmunks.
RIP my boy, momma loved you so much...

Maggie Bean, you little sweetheart!
It's that time again! Automatic week is here. This month we have two pattern packs releasing. One it the Autumn pack for Little House Needleworks "Seasons". The silk she uses is "Cinnamon Stick", just beautiful!
Here's the promo picture for the series, as soon as I get the model back from the stitcher and framed, you'll see one quite beautiful piece of stitching.
And then there's Miss Maggie Bean, learning about Patience. This set is so darling, I'm stitching it for myself for my bedroom. This is a thread pack from Shakespeare's Peddler and Crescent Colours, using 6 colours of Belle Soie. The frames used are from our Family Tree Frame Company and are the Dee & Michelle in Fleamarket Vanilla pudding finish and 4" square frames.
The trims are being cut and packaged this week, so they will be shipping SOOON!! I can't decide which is my favorite. The fluffy and sumptuous chenille, the big fat rick rack? I see these being sent to my finisher for a bunch of projects. I see some of the green on a wool applique project that I'm doing as grass and couch down the chenille? Awesome!!!
"Pick me, pick me, we are ready to be ironed!!" :) This stuff is just so pretty. I've had quilt designers calling me all week to use in their projects. I'm so excited. We are working hard to get this finished, my dyer is having surgery, so we'll be a wee bit behind in release. But rest assured, it is coming.
Have a splendid week! Let needle meet thread!! Sharon

Happy Birthday America!!!
God Bless America and thank you for stopping by. From childhood till today, my heart fills with pride for my Country and the battles we have won to keep our land free. I remember going to company fourth of July events with my Dad's company. And without a doubt, more than half the time he got called out for a power outage. My Godparents always took us home then. Life was so simple, not because I was a child, but because life was simple. I still have tears stream my face at the playing of the "Star Spangled Banner". I still hold my hand over my heart during the Pledge of Allegiance and many American hymns.
I taught my daughter the same values, to be a good citizen, to respect the Flag and love her country. Standing for the Anthem at a recent sporting event, I peeked over at her and there she was, my beautiful girl, hand over her heart and tears in her eyes. My little Patriot! I love my country. Tonight we celebrate her birthday, our independence. May you all have a safe and wonderful holiday.
I want to show you a piece that Crescent Colours collaborated with Little House Needleworks. It's called "Sea to Shining Sea". That little snippet of my favorite American hymn, "Battle Hymn of the Republic". The patterns for this series are still available through your local needlework shops. I hope you enjoy the picture.

"America, America God shed his grace on thee and crown thy good with brotherhood from Sea to Shining Sea". God bless you all and God Bless America.
Fondly,
Sharon
